Buckeye Solar Racing combines a wide range of disciplines within engineering, business, and project management to fabricate and race our vehicles. Buckeye Solar Racing team members all have one thing in common - we understand that innovation, hard work, and collaboration will propel us to the starting line of any solar car race.
Buckeye Solar Racing is due-free, open to all majors, and welcomes all levels of experience. Our four main sub-teams - structural, aerodynamics, electrical, and business - all function together to create a cohesive vehicle. No experience is necessary to join any of our sub-teams, or our team in general.
Buckeye Solar Racing is a social club as much as it is a student project team. Although our main priority is to build a safe and efficient vehicle, Buckeye Solar Racing understands the value of spending time together outside of the Center for Automotive Research. We organize social events such as bowling, rock climbing, game nights, and team dinners throughout the academic year. All in all, Buckeye Solar Racing is a great place to build connections with like-minded students!
