In Fall 2021, Western Michigan University team Sunseeker donated us their 2016 solar car. For a team just starting out, this was a huge advantage. From this donation, Buckeye Solar Racing retained the car's aeroshell and solar array, replacing all other components. Sunseeker's only request was to retain the name “Farasi,” which means “horse” in Swahili.

This vehicle raced in the Formula Sun Grand Prix 2023, in Topeka KS. It placed 6th overall, completing 103 laps around the track with no failures during the entire event.
